What is OSU's record the rest of the way this season?

Purdue might get their luck on, but I don't see anyone else having a strong enough offense to throttle us.  We've faced the best throwing QB's on our schedule and we don't play NW or Minn.

Do not argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.

If OSU was playing in the MAC or Conference USA, I think we'd drop a few more games, but because we're in the B1G, we'll likely only drop a couple. 10-2 is my guess at this point, which should set OSU up nicely for next year, hopefully.

i really can't tell if we play down to our opponents or we are just that bad. I was there yesterday and i have to say...105000 is quiet. i didn't want to believe it but this team just didn't excite me. Don't get me wrong that a win is a win. I really do believe this team is not exciting but will do what they need to be close to undefeated.

6-2 Loss to MSU and then another loss between the Nebraska/Purdue games.

6-2 with a loss to MSU this weekend (yep better start to prepare now folks...unless we get a lot figured out on defense and all around really) and I can see a lose to tTUN (and/or as I hate to say it I can see a slip up at home against Purdue).  So 6-2 or 5-3...but I can only vote for one.  I'm trying to be optimistic but it's hard to after these last three games.  They better come out and stop Bell (by properly tackling him) and score A LOT in order to restore faith that this team has what it takes to go undefeated.  At this point it seems most feel the same...

I'd guess 6-2. They go 3-2 against at MSU, Nebraska, Purdue, at Wisky, Michigan. If they don't improve quite a bit, though, they go 2-3 or 1-4 against those teams and maybe struggle against other marginal teams as well.

Wonder what the line (point spread) will be this week. I'm guessing MSU will be favored by about 5 points.

I'm only counting the give me games (Illinois and Indiana). All the others are L's and if we're lucky we'll beat MSU this weekend...

MSU did struggle a little with Eastern Michigan so I don't see them dominating us.  I'd say we will drop about 3 games this year, but they will be 3-7 point losses.  I don't think we get handled by anyone.

Nothing about yesterday makes me confident. This team reminds me of your classic 8/9 win borderline "Good" PAC team with a tempermentally explosive offense and shaky D.

However, before you guys vote 6-2, 5-3, etc actually try and TAKE A LOOK at the schedule and think about each individual team we will face. Think about every matchup and how those teams have looked so far. Will two or three of these clowns really get their crap together for 4 quarters to beat us?

Doubtful.

[EDIT: some people voted 4-4???!!!! are you kidding me? The B1G has already lost to THREE (!!!) MAC teams this year. You really think FOUR OTHER TEAMS in this historically crappy B1G will beat us. Wow...]

I can see three losses to MSU, Penn St, UM. I think Braxton is over coached in that he is trying to please everyone. If his passing doesn't improve, he will need to rely on running the ball 16-18 times per game. He is the best back that we have.

You saying that makes me think we'll have a QB like Denard. I hate when Miller runs.

Come back on the ship BME.  I think Braxton has as many picks in his career as Denard had this weekend.  However, they can both run, and they both will run.  I would love to see them develop Braxton into someone who can beat another team without running, but if he doesn't run, then we're looking at 4-4 for the rest of the season, at best.

In our case I'm assuming the worse when I say we go 6-6 (2-6) in conference play. Before Saturday I would have though PSU and Purdue were easy wins and thought we would have no chance of beating MSU but not any more. MSU looks beatable but other teams like Penn State and Purdue concern me.

Replace ttun with Nebraska & we're in agreement. I think Penn St & Nebraska are the 2 most likely losses as I hold to my preseason expectations with respect to overall record.
Admitting I'm no D wizard, I'd really like to see tight man press coverage with frequent blitzes & see how that goes...

I still haven't ruled out undefeated. Obviously OSU has had some problems but so has the rest of the Big Ten. MSU has looked worse than us, Nebraska, Purdue and Michigan are terrible road teams, and Wisconsin's offense has died
