Cardale Jones' arm is so powerful he doesn't even need to harness the laces.

Jones explained how that came to be in a teaser for an upcoming appearance on Jon Gruden's QB Camp, saying to due to Ted Ginn's rapid shotgun formation training at Glenville High School—"he was in speed mode"—he often didn't have time to get a grip on the laces.

He was good enough to earn a scholarship offer from Jim Tressel.

"If I got the ball on the laces, maybe once or twice throughout the whole game snapping, I'd move my hand off them," Jones explained.

Though No. 12 said he didn't start throwing with laces until he started preparing for the NFL, he later added Urban Meyer "almost flipped out on him" when he first saw it.

Filmed early Thursday morning, it's unclear when the full episode will air. Jones is one of six QB prospects to be profiled on the show, and episodes begin airing April 12.
