Jim Tressel, Like Tupac Shakur, Can Only be Judged by God

One of the bigger fantasies I have is Jim Tressel releasing a 16-track rap album entitled "#QuietTime."

Another big fantasy of mine is that Tupac is still alive.

As you can imagine, today is a pretty big day for me. (As was April 15th.)

I'd also like to think this is what was going through Tress' head when he added "Go Bucks!" at the end of his response to Chris Cicero's email.

I would listen to a Tressel hip-hop album as long as it were produced by 9th Wonder or Marco Polo.

And then I told her...i'm no weatherman, but tonight's forecast is calling for several inches!

Wonder if this was because of the WCMH Channel 4 interview with his wife Ellen, this morning?

“Right now, Michigan is not at the pinnacle of college football, and that’s all Urban Meyer cares about...He’s been there and knows what it takes to get there.”

You know I've been to the edge,

and I've stood and looked down.

You know I've lost a lot of friends there, baby.

I got to no time to mess around.

Tress is known to get his hair done too. . .

I season my simple food with hunger

Two peas in a pod. Rebels. Outlaws.

Poets and masters of prose...and so forth.

James Patrick Tressel, forever keepin it gangsta.

Seriously though, this is great. I can just picture Tress bumping Pac on his Beats headphones while wearing his bandana backwards and flipping double birds to the police.

Still not giving a damn for the whole state of Michigan.

Now this is a story all about how

My life got flipped-turned upside down

And I'd like to take a minute

Just sit right down

I'll tell you how I became the king of a place called Youngstown

In Mentor - around Baldwin-Wallace - born and raised

On the ball field is where I spend most of my days

Chillin' out maxin' relaxin' all cool

And all puntin' some footballs outside of the school

When a couple of NCAA morons dumber than the rest

Got tired of hearing about the domination of the Vest

I got in one little noncompliance problem and Papa Gene started to fret.

And said "Go back to where you came from - and take Maurice Clarett."

I whistled for my private plane, and when it came near,

I saw the trustees from Y-state aboard ....sittin' in the rear.

If anything I could say this was a little out of bounds,

But I thought "Nah forget it, Yo home to Youngstown"

We pulled up to campus around five or six

and I yelled to the pilot "Tell Gene Smith he's a prick"

Looked at my kingdom, I was finally down

To sit on my throne as the King of Youngstown

Who do believe in by Tupac is my personal favorite. It encompasses everything he was for better or worse..
