Kenny Guiton Scores in Arena League Debut

Kenny Guiton is still doing Kenny Guiton things.

Making his debut with the LA Kiss of the Arena Football League Saturday night, Guiton took the field in the first quarter to give his team a mobile look and quickly found the end zone from two yards out, scoring his first AFL touchdown just 10 minutes into his career.

The score put the Kiss up 21-7 and they'd hold the lead, going on to a 69-61 victory over the Portland Thunder to end an eight-game losing streak. Yep, in his first game out, Kenny Guiton's aura crushed his team's eight-game skid.

According to 11W LA Kiss correspondent KBonay, Guiton had another touchdown called back and “had a nice run dragging tacklers to the goal line.”

GUITON JUST DOESNT LOSE! Great to hear his career is continuing, even if it's not in the NFL.

I love the block by Mewhort ten yards down field

Mewhort is gonna be severely missed. That block turned that run from a big gain to big six points

It's just Kenny being Kenny.  I'm not surprised, but damn glad to hear it.

It's support like this that shows how deep the OSU family roots are. BuckeyeNation can be quite fanatic, but only because of how deep our loyalty to our program runs. We want our team win, not solely for our own personal satisfaction, but for pride in our family name. Once a Buckeye, always a Buckeye.

I don't think you will find another program who treats a career back up like a rock star! Kenny G earned his cult following from his heroics on the gridiron. Just because he was a back up makes him no less of a beloved member of Buckeye Nation. Congrats Kenny, keep playing that smooth jazz. The family is proud!

Don't know what I loved more, the TD or the dance :)

The AFL actually encourages TD celebrations, so hopefully Kenny G will have to think up of a lot more dances.

Who do I cheer for when the Kiss and the Gladiators meet next time?

Seriously sometimes I feel like we were so spoiled to have him when he could have transferred to another big school, started and gotten drafted

Kenny G helps the LA KISS end an eight game skid?

Shout it, shout it, shout it out loud.

I am not very smart, but I recognize that I am not very smart.

My thoughts exactly.

Unfortunately, they've already played twice and won't play again. The closest the Kiss play to Ohio is in Jacksonville. Every other game is west of the Mississippi.

I don't know which was better how easy he made the touchdown look or his celebration dance.

Indeed.

I love the LA Kiss uniforms, but that field...yikes!

Kenny G is gonna do big things; i'm talking Kurt Warner style.

Both cut from NFL team on 1st attempt: check

Both went on to Arena League: check

There's no more NFL Europe, so he can't spend a year there. 3 to 4 years he should be back in the NFL making pro bowls, winning a super bowl and becoming super bowl MVP. Maybe he even makes his arena team's HOF like Mr. Warner did. Hopefully he avoids a pit stop bagging groceries or stocking shelves 3rd shift at an unknown Iowa grocer.

And then I told her...i'm no weatherman, but tonight's forecast is calling for several inches!

Thanks for the update Jason, great stuff!

I was tired of trying to work my way around the back, so I just ran him over.
