It happened late last night, so don't feel bad if you missed it, but prepare yourself regardless because it's happening. Yes, it's happening. After months of speculation, rumors and innuendo, it's actually going to go down. Torrance Gibson, a freak athlete among freak athletes, is going to visit Ohio State. Gibson announced the visit was 100-percent on via his Twitter last night.

Gibson — who has never actually visited Columbus  — has been considered anywhere from a Buckeye lock, to lean, to longshot over the last few tumultuous months and it appears that the pursuit of the 6-foot-4, 200-pounder is back on for Ohio State. The question that will be asked 1000 times and answered exactly never? Is Gibson a quarterback, or a wide receiver?

That, I think, depends on where he ends up applying his signature come February. For now, the Buckeyes are back in the thick of things and after seeing him for a week straight in Oregon at The Opening, I absolutely believe that Torrance Gibson can be a national championship winning college quarterback in an offense that fits his game, and the Buckeyes are absolutely one of those few places. Do I believe that Gibson is better suited at wide receiver if he wants to make NFL dollars from football? Absolutely.

For now, the enthusiasm has to be tempered and things taken one day at a time. Gibson, for his part, doesn't even know exactly how long he'll be at Ohio State this week, he just knows when he'll be there.

"I'm not sure (how long we'll be there at Ohio State,)" Gibson told Eleven Warriors late Monday night. "I'm going with my coach, and we're heading up there Thursday night."

The talented Mr. Gibson did take his own enthusiasm back to Twitter moments after cementing his travel plans however.

Ohio State fans are fired up as well, Torrance, trust us on that.
