Keep an eye on Levonte Whitfield of Jones HS in the Orlando area....one of the three fastest kids in the nation...was at OSU last weekend...little bridie told me OSU is recruiting him as a WR and interest is picking up heavily

Will be interesting to see how Wr's work out htis year with big names like Foster, Quick, Stringfellow and even Treadwell to a extent out there, Gibson who we think is a lock if grades/test scores are good and then Adrian Baker potentially getting an offer at Wr today.

Alex do you think this new mutual interest (and potential Baker offer) may have to do with Gibson's reportedly below par grades? In so much as the staff may be looking elsewhere?

Looks perfect for Urbs offense. Has some nice offers as well (Florida, Clemson, Miami Florida State, Nebraska, and South Carolina)

Imagine him and Jalin lining up opposite each other. Wow.

So this kid was committed to Miami but has since decommitted?

Does he hold an OSU offer? ESPN doesn't show one, 247 doesn't even have OSU listed as an interested school, and Scout only lists 2 schools as favorites (and has him as a 2*), but Rivals shows him with an OSU offer.

not sure about the Gibson situation having an impact here....don't think Whitfield has an offer but that could change...he was on campus this past weekend

Wowww. This kid is a beast. I want this kid. perrrrrfect for meyers offense. Imagine the playmakers for this year= j marshall, quick, shelton gibson, levonte whitfield, zeke and baugh. soo good. No issue with size either. if he can run size doesnt matter. Meyer looks like he is developing a fla style playmaking corps.

Hard to tell what the level of competition is from the video.

Nice to see him run over someone at the 37 second mark.

His quarterback has a pretty good arm too.

Kid looks great on film, and I'm surprised how all over the board he is in terms of ranking (not that they really matter), But espn has him as a 4* in the top 150, 247 and Rivals have him as 3*, while Scout has him as a 2*.

It will be very interesting to see how the WR position ends up shaking out.

In the post it Alex mentions he is one of the fastest kids in the nation, yet at the under armour combine in december was laser timed at 4.48. while that is fast, Adrian Baker was timed at 4.44 at camp. im sure theres faster guys out there we could get. I know these things are not completely accurate, but id like to see more
