We're starting off today's medley with a song that feels like it would be right at home with Game of Thrones, with its martial sound and themes of siege and warfare. In fact, it's a song from Blind Guardian's tribute to Tolkien's Silmarillion: Nightfall in Middle Earth.This is the final epic track on that album: A Dark Passage. 

Next we have a song from The National's most recent album, Sleep Well Beast. The sound of this song is best described as a "high school dance" aesthetic, with the guitar and bassline both reflecting that feel, and Matt Berninger crooning softly about the mechanics of establishing and maintaining a long-term loving relationship with someone. This is "The Dark Side of the Gym."

Next up is a classic song that I'm sure everyone's heard at least once (or at least heard the Toploader cover), this is "Dancing in the Moonlight" by King Harvest. 

And last up we have a song that arguably made the name of the now-mostly-forgettable 1990s sensation The Offspring. This is "Pretty Fly for a White Guy"
