Is Alabama not as good as we thought or West Virginia better? These are the kinds of questions with which season-opening clashes like this burden us.

Florida State-transfer Jake Coker was expected to see time at quarterback, but Blake Sims played the whole game. Alabama's newest QB finished with 250 yards on 24/33 passing with one interception.

T.J. Yeldon, the latest in monster Alabama running backs, finished with 126 yards on 23 carries and two touchdowns.
