Brian Hartline Works at a Convenience Store
We know this because he conducted a phone interview with Dan LeBatard while on his winter job.
Hartline: "Today I'm kinda busy. I'm working at a drive thru up in Ohio, freezing my butt off."
LeBatard: "You're working in a drive thru?"
Hartline: "Yeah, you know, a drive thru convenience store?"
LeBatard: "Yeah."
Hartline: "That's where I work."
$31 million contract? Pfft... Brian Hartline is a man of the people.

I love this story. I can't wait to read the Ted Ginn Doggy Daycare version.
I wonder if Brian employs his brother (and former Kentucky QB) Mike at his convenience store?
Hope not. Mike was a waste of talent stuck up douche. Nothing like brian. Brian is cool as hell.
My jr yr mike was the star qb at glenoak and he threw 6 picks against us ( mckinley)and completed 3 passes. Loved making him look terrible. Preview to his college career.

You should see what Ben is doing in his spare time.
That's great. I know exactly what store he's at too. Love to see him home in canton

The store isn't in Canton. Canal Winchester I think it's called.
I believe not. No drive-thrus in Canal Winchester other than fast food.

He needs to buy Roman's and return it to it's former glory. Since PJ sold it, the place hasn't been as good.

It actually is indeed in Canal Wincester. Here's the address and you can Google Streetview the drive-thru: 6830 Refugee Rd Canal Winchester, OH 43110
FYI it's got Canal zip code but is not in the village/city of Canal Winchester. There is no part of Refugee Rd. that is inside the corporation limits.

that is a sweet story man. really is. but good for him on getting paid, he deserved that contract and here's to many great years ahead of him in the NFL! Good luck, Hartline.
LOVE this story. Talk about staying grounded - you could tell he was legitimately excited about being a small business owner. I love that. That type of enthusiasm keeps a guy from doing dome stuff now that payday has arrived, and probably puts him in good position to really do some neat things in the coming years off the field, and post-NFL.
Pretty awesome.
I could see Tress stopping over from Akron to pay a visit and purchase a bottled water.
This is awesome. Man of the people, Brian Hartline. The NFL needs more guys like him!

It appears the DJ's at Miami's ESPN station would take a big payday and forget about their commitments and friends. The timeline of the convenience store purchase and the NFL contract shows Hartline to honor contracts and friendships. Miami is so lucky to have him
Do not argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.
The Dead Schembechlers song says Teddy Ginn does everything - including inventing the suit case on wheels (Thanks Ted!). If this is true, Hartline definitely deserves a song, too.

This is one of the coolest things I've heard of a former OSU player doing that's currently in the NFL (aside from charity or what not). After being awarded a 31 mill contract, Hartline's out helping a buddy who apparently has a problem with a lack of employees. Too cool in my book.

At least there are some athletes out there that stay grounded no matter how big their contract is. It's an added bonus that this guy is a former Buckeye.

I liked this guy when he was a Buckeye. I love him now.
Buckeye born and bred. Buckeye til I'm dead.
