Hall apparently received a medical redshirt. Rod Smith will don #7 per a subsequent Hall tweet. (

I take this to mean Hall was officially approved for his medical redshirt?!

Two fit Rod better.

"YOLO" = I'm about to do something extremely ignorant/stupid & I need an excuse to do it.

So did he request this change? If not who did? What numer will Rod be? What does Rod think of this? Will Devin smith get #7 or possiblly Jalin Marshall? So many unanswered questions!

Jason Priestas's picture

Updated. Apparently, Smith will wear #7. So, basically Hall and Smith just swapped jerseys.

Our offense is going to be silly next season.

The ol' switcheroo? Kinky.

I like to think (And am assuming) he's doing it for Pryor.

blazers34's picture

why did we think that Devin Smith would try to get 7?  was that his HS number I'm assuming?

One Bad Buckeye's picture

Is Rod Smith transferring?

"I'm One Bad Buckeye, and I approve this message."

So Pryor wore #2 and he was Hall's high school teammate.  Anyone else find that odd?

I think Jordan is trying to tell us how many TDs he'll be scoring per game

Bolt's picture

And Carlos Hyde's keeping his number to signify the amount of TDs he'll score for the season.

Nkohl13's picture

If thats the case I'd rather he wore 7.

Exciting stuff!
Thats what, his third number during his time in C-Bus? DUDE STICK WITH ONE ALREADY.

I agree, single digit jersey numbers are becoming too popular. Tired of seeing linebackers with low #'s as well, it's overplayed IMO.  Would like to see Mitchell wear #44, Bosa #97, and just in general guys wear numbers that make sense. I miss the days of our RB's wearing pro numbers.

Dustin Fox was our leading tackler as a corner.... because his guy always caught the ball.

Rod can wear whatever number he wants as long as he keeps running over and around people.
Personally, based on looks he should probably wear 55 seeing as he's built like an MLB. I hope Rod kills it this coming year. One of my favorite players on the current team.

Yours and everyone else's for some reason.

It probably just reflects his aspirational position on the depth chart.

Good luck Jordan, that jersey used to belong to some of our greats.
Mike Doss- whom I will always associate with #2
Malcom Jenkins
