No question the Beasties often filled the role of Soundtrack to so many of our best moments comin' up. I think I'll listen to "The In Sounds From Way Out" instrumental disc. Seems appropriate to listen to them without the rhymes today.
"So I grabbed the piano player and punch him in the face."
What sad news. License To I'll was my favorite. I was a sophomore in high school when it came out. I still listen to it to this day. Rest in peace Adam.
Thank you for linking to this. Been bummed about this all day, though somewhat comforted by the fact that many of those I spend so much time with on this site can relate to how big of a loss this is. The Beastie Boys are no Beatles, but this is the closest I will get to a John Lennon-type of moment. Didn't know the man, never met him in person, but nevertheless, someone important to me just died, much much too young.

My brother and I wore out our License to Ill casette. Staple of my childhood (and beyond).
MCA was always my favorite voice of the 3. My screenname is a Beasties reference by the way.

Just plain bummed out right now. This sucks.
I know everyone has a time to go, but 48 is too soon.
I know there's a game saturday, and my ass will be there.
RIP, what a bummer. Paul's Boutique got heavy rotation in my ride as a youngster. Too young Adam! :(

So sad...the Beastie Boys fueled my youth and especially college days at tOSU. Last saw them in '98.
