I was getting ready for all-campus tryouts at the Old Intramural Building for next year's starting PG.  Huge props to Beilein; inasmuch as I get the impression the he personally brought this situation back from the brink...

This is like hitting a Three with 1 second left on the shot clock.  Times 30 games.

Well at least they'll have one player on their team after the rest transferred....you still might want to hold those try out's M Man!

Smotrycz was the only potential starter among the three who earlier announced that they were leaving.  And then Burke, later vaguely reported to be leaving via Twitter rumors, was the only one who was irreplaceable.

By late season next year, Michigan could be featuring a lineup of Trey Burke (So.), Tim Hardaway Jr. (Jr.; which is going to start sounding like "Dale Earnhardt Junior Junior"), Glen Robinson III (Fr.) and Jordan Morgan (Jr.).  I'd probably put that five up against any other starters in the Conference.

The basketball program has a long way yet to go; but Burke coming back has got to be the biggest single-player story in the B1G for '12-'13.

There would be some regret from those that spent the past two weeks talking him back to TSUN if he were to get seriously injured next season. If he really wanted to go and Beilein talked him back it says alot about the coach. Even if they thought he would not go in the first round, no one knows for certain. Seems as though he wanted to go pro. Whatever works for TSUN.

Two words:

Aaron Craft.

That is all.

Buckeye born and bred. Buckeye til I'm dead.

Yup. I love Burke and some of you can testify to how good I think he is, but all of this talk about him becoming the best point guard in the country next year is ridiculous. He won't even be the best in the B1G.

Craft won't be the best or Burke won't be the best? IMO a scoring 1 PG isn't as important as a passing 1 PG. see John Stockton, Jason Kidd, etc.

My thoughts exactly. If you think Burke is going to be able to pull another game against Craft a la @AA this year, think again. After that first game at Wisconsin, Taylor didn't fare that well against Craft again.

Shoutout to all the "sources" and "twitter pics" confirming him leaving to the NBA.
