Didn't Urban utilize Billy Latsko at FB while at Florida? I thought they used one. I thought they would use a FB as a lead blocker out of gun for QB draws with Tebow.

Dustin Fox was our leading tackler as a corner.... because his guy always caught the ball.

Urban has said he loves Zach Boren, and Hinton (FB/TE Coach) has said his players won't get lost in the shuffle if they're good players. I think the problem is that David was apparently 3rd in line at FB behind Boren and Adam Homan. Regardless, I wish him the best wherever he decides to go.

Isn't he only a freshman though? Why not study under one of the best and be in line to assume a starting role when Boren's gone? I appreciate that this frees up a roster spot (so long as it's not being actively sought a la Nick Saban). I just don't think that we're getting the whole story. I'm not saying everything's not on the up and up. I just feel like this is more to do with a new coaching staff vs a lack of playing time.

Was he just not good at linebacker? If he was a DE/LB in highschool and buried on our FB depth chart when we had no linebackers this year im going to assume he wasn't very athletic or something along those lines?

He was a tweener I believe and doesn't have great speed ( which hurt us this year ) so I can see why they moved to him FB, just so happens we have a pretty decent FB already so.... Yeah.
