I have no idea if there's any fire here, but this will be a true test of ESPN's "journalistic integrity" with the Longhorn network debuting in August.  I know I didn't hear about the Oregon recruiting payments until almost a day later.

ESPN and journalistic integrity do not belong in the same sentence.

If there's anything concrete here, it's going to get pub.  Despite the Longhorn Network.  A program like Texas getting into trouble would be to big of a story to not mention.

I don't think ESPN has ever sold itself on being a true source of journalism.  Even their shows like OTL and other stuff where they do special interest, they don't crack any stories on their own.  They run their special interest piece citing other people's work.  All they ever do is report on what other people have figured out.
