Gotta love Davis trolling Mark May in that 12-0 tweet.

Kind of strange that for the scUM game it says "TUN" when everything else mentioning them says  "TTUN"

Team Up North vs The Team Up North not a big difference I guess. Anyways don't give a damn for the whole state either way.

I finished the drywall in that place. The weight room is a ton bigger than those pics made it look.

Bury me in my away jersey, with my buckeye blanket. A diehard who died young. Rip dad.

I'd imagine that touring this building would be similar to being 8 years old on your first trip to Disney world.

Great stuff! I wonder where the ball cap I gave the Vest ended up.

Just adding a comment so the comment count goes up and more people view the buckshot.  Worthwhile viewing here...

In the picture with the "bullet chairs" there are two mannequins with what appear to be new jersey styles.  Are these the new pro combat uniforms?

No those are old Pro Combats that spawned the unsportsmanlike conduct penalties with the "O" on the hands (2010)

Buckeyevstheworld's picture

I remember JT being p*ssed off after the penalty. I don't think i've ever seen him that mad before.

"YOLO" = I'm about to do something extremely ignorant/stupid & I need an excuse to do it.

Kaceybrown's picture

Especially considering Oregon had been running around flaunting their "O" gloves for quite some time... I do believe that since that era, the officiating has improved in the B1G ; most noticeably in basketball. IMHO

Buckeyevstheworld's picture

You're the first person i've seen that has said that about the BigTen basketball officials.

"YOLO" = I'm about to do something extremely ignorant/stupid & I need an excuse to do it.

Kaceybrown's picture

Maybe I'm alone in this thinking, but it just seems like they used to over officiate, calling way too many fouls; & now, they allow a more physical game. I could be dead wrong too...

brylee's picture

agree...but that has also caused a problem.  in the b1g, the officials let them play, which caused issues of foul trouble in the tourney.

old_rasputin's picture

gotcha.  thanks!

Espn has made a 180 degree attitude change towards The Ohio State Buckeyes since the addition of urban Meyer.

yrro's picture

I think that the Senator's attitude toward the press did not earn him any fans among journalists. You'd be surprised how much editorial slant comes down to who makes the journo's job easy by being open to them and giving them a story.

Kaceybrown's picture

That's an interesting point.

Firmthyfriendship's picture

The Senator just liked to keep things under the vest. Meyer is a bit more metropolitan in that sense.

Espn (with the exception of Mark May and, at times, Lou Holtz) has made a 180 degree attitude change towards The Ohio State Buckeyes since the addition of urban Meyer.

Fixed that for you, Kacey! ;)

HawaiianBuckeye's picture

Yeah the national media is covering them a lot lately.  Better hope it all remains to be only positive coverage instead of the coverage that invaded campus a few years ago.

Recap cont':
I'm not sure if anyone watched CFB (Spring Blitz) but they where going through OSU schedule and predicted OSU to go 12-0 again and possibly win the the Big Ten however OSU wouldn't go to the title game. Their thought was that since the computers determine who is ranked in the BCS, OSU success not only depends on how they do throughout the year but the other team in the Big Ten. Ohio State will need for every possible Big Ten team to be ranked (most likely Wisconsin, Northwestern, Michigan). Also, an one loss SEC or undefeated Pac-12/Big 12 team will hop an undefeated OSU team. From what he was saying, OSU could basically go to the Rose Bowl undefeated.

Look closely, because the closer you think you are, the less you will actually see.

Kaceybrown's picture

This will be one furious fan base if that is how it plays out.

acBuckeye's picture

No way an undefeated OSU team would ever get left out of a title game. Especially with Urbz as the head coach.

Idaho Helga's picture

We'd be in the nat'l title game as long as there weren't 3 undefeated teams and the other two weren't both from the SEC.  In fact, in that scenario, if one of the 3 were ND we'd like get picked over them given how bad they looked on the big stage.   If we win our games, we're there.  The B1G will be improved this year (er, except Penn St)

buckeyedude's picture

I cannot fathom OSU being left out of a championship game if they go undefeated. If they were left out in such a scenerio, COUCHES WILL BURN!

Every time I see the list of "national championships" I shake my head.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1970_Ohio_State_Buckeyes_football_team
That team lost it's bowl game.

UrbzRenewal's picture

Each major media/selection entity picked their national champion. The AP, Coaches, and NFF were the three big ones at the time. The only reason Nebraska was "selected" was because OSU lost and Texas lost to Notre Dame. Nebraska was inherent national champs, Texas should've been national champs, and OSU was perhaps the best team throughout the year, only to lose the bowl game. The bowl game loss didn't hold as much weight with selectors because it was a crazy year, the coaches poll came out before New Years day-not sure when the NFF selection was made. The AP selection came after the bowl game.
In all honesty, there was no real consensus champion- none of the teams really deserved it. I would have said Nebraska, but they tied USC earlier in the year.
If Nebraska had beat USC, they probably would've been consensus champs. If there was anyone you should shake your head at, it should have been the underdog Nebraska team not being able to close it out on the road against USC. The UPI would've selected them rather than Texas and the NFF probably would've selected them too.

Just curious: Does anyone know if the WHAC is open to the public for tours? Like at slow times or something? Would like to go and see this place for myself.

I showed my wife the EzE video of them coming in through the center before Coombs' speech (what a great video that was. I got goose bumps when they were slowly making their way through). She asked the same thing you are and what I was wondering as well. Here is all I could find on it from their Wiki:

The northern corridor and atrium are adorned with Ohio State football history, including Big Ten and national championship team displays, Heisman Trophies and photos of All-Americans and Academic All-Americans, and is the only part of the facility open to the public.
