Ohio State to Play Three Under the Lights in October
The Big Ten still doesn't allow night football games in November, but Ohio State will get their fill in the month of October with three primetime kickoffs on the 2012 calendar.
On October 6, the Buckeyes will host Nebraska at 8pm in a game that will be televised on ABC, ESPN or ESPN2. The game will also serve as OSU's Homecoming and will be Nebraska's first visit to Ohio Stadium since 1956. Oh yeah, that's also Eat Too, Brutus weekend, which is Eleven Warriors' annual charity tailgate. The event raises money for the Stefanie Spielman Fund for Breast Cancer research and nearly as importantly, sports a 2-0 lifetime record in subsequent Buckeye games (Miami 2010 and Wisconsin 2011).
The following week, Ohio State's road game at Indiana in Memorial Stadium will be an 8pm contest on the Big Ten Network. Our favorite type of primetime game: One that you know you're going to win.
Finally, Ohio State will face Penn State at 6pm in State College on October 27. ABC, ESPN or ESPN2 will broadcast that game. This will be another revenge game for the Buckeyes as they were upended by the Nittany Lions at home in 2011.
Ohio State is 34-18 all-time in night games (those starting after 5 p.m. local time) with a 7-3 record in Ohio Stadium, an 18-8 mark on the road and a 9-7 record at neutral sites.

isn't urban supposed to be trying to get permanent lighting in the shoe? anybody know anything about that
I know they were talking about it last year, but I know there's a reason why we don't have them yet. I thought it had something to do with the historical landmark status of the shoe.
That is awesome!!! As much as I like drinking beer at 9am on gameday - I will enjoy waiting until 5pm on those games and perhaps get a few household honey do tasks complete before slipping into a game induced drinking coma state!

How many night games does AACC, or Wisky play? Night games have a tendency of being butt biters for the team. As a fan I love night games in the Shoe.
i've only been to one night game (wisconsin), but i really enjoyed it. Obviously it helped that it was an awesome game, but I really like the night game atmosphere, and the fact that you can start drinking at 9am anyway...
I personally like the afternoon/evening games better. Guess I'm just getting old and sleepy.

I agree, I don't like staying up past midnight watching football, but that's just me. I'd rather have a noon or 1 oclock game
Well how about getting up at 0200-0300 to watch it - living in Germany makes prime time football unbearable.
Oh boy the Nebraska game is going to be even more fun now that it's a night game
I wish OSU would install real stadium lighting instead of binging in those portable units for the night games; makes us look cheap.

Will Eat Too Brutus III start later, or will we just have more time to get our drink on?
Imagine it will start at 1pm like we did for the Wisconsin game last season. Pace yourself. :/
Pace myself? WTF? I'll have been at B Dub's since 9:00 eating wingies and drinking beer and you want me to pace myself. Jason, you are one funny hombre. Good one! :D
What is this pace yourself that you speak of?

Damn the people I know who decided to get married October 13 and the wedding reception I'll be at during kickoff that night. At least it's not a home game I suppose..
Why does anyone in Ohio get married on a fall Saturday? /grumble
We should strive to keep thy name, of fair repute and spotless fame...
(Also, I'm not a dude)
Art, those people are not your friends.

Real friends don't let friends get married on Fall Saturdays.
35 hours to Pasadena! Go Bucks!
If these people are truly your friends and worthy of your attendence - they will have a TV set up somewhere that you can watch it away from the boring same reception traditions that you've been through a hundred times before.
Unless you're actually in the wedding, attach the following to the wedding gift:
I am so sorry but my son/daughter/mom/dad/brother/sister/cousin/grandma/grandpa/girlfriend /lover/hooker/stripper/boyfriend/tranny/inlaw/adoptive parent fell down the stairs and is presently laying near death on the floor. I have to fly out to <insert place nobody has heard of> and take them to the hospital. The fall wiped out all of numbers in their cell phone but mine so I have to leave immediately.

At least it's just IU. If you have to attend a wedding on a fall football Saturday, that's the one.
Why would the Penn State game kick off at 6? Seems like a weird time.
Any later and the kids get too sleepy for post game traditions. Too soon?
It's part of a B1G double-header. Michigan and Nebraska will square off at 8pm that day.
I know Urbans teams play fast, but 2 hours fast?
Suprised Cal wasn't given the night game treatment. Anyone know when that game kicks off? A 1/noon kickoff would feel awfully early to those PAC-12er's.
i think only the big ten schedule has come out - no anouncement of OOC games
