The freshmen reported for fall camp duty today -- 24 of them in all -- including three invited walk-ons on the offensive line. The walk-ons include: Nick Humphries of Canton Central Catholic, Tim Trummer of Kettering Fairmont and Eric Kramer of Cincinnati St. Xavier.
Of note: Linebacker Connor Crowell is back home in Maryland recovering from leg surgery and is out indefinitely.

They just keep getting bigger each year. This class should do some damage on the field. Go bucks!
After seeing Shazier and Grant, "damn" is the only word that comes to mind.
Gambrell also passes the look test.
my favorite part of this is how the bus visably rocks back and forth after chris carter gets off. that, and his baby huey walk
Joel Hale with everything he owns slung around his neck isn't bad either.
I have to believe that somewhere, out there, Steve Rehring just watched this video, saw the weight at which Chris Carter reported to fall camp, and rose from his desk whilst slow clapping and vigrorously nodding his head.
In a weird way though, it looks like Carter holds the weight well. He doesn't look "Andre Smith at the NFL Combine" fatass.
At least no one showed up carring a 42'' plasma this year.
The fat plasma lady isn't singing yet. Upperclassmen report tomorrow.
Curtis Grant = Next Andy Katzenmoyer? He's there size-wise anyway.
Yeah, I'm starting to go from 50/50 chance he plays early to 75% chance he's the opening day starter.
what are the chances that he outgrows LB though? dude is HUGE
Maualga was slightly heavier. I think naturally they'll test him out at LEO. He's going to put on more muscle, so as long as he doesn't look slow as hell in coverage like Spitler, beast mode is the name of the game.
Braxton, passes for 215. Upper Body has gotten noticeable bigger. Can't wait to see this kids arm strength!
Curtis Grant - Wow!
This defense is going to be fast, and nasty!
6'3" 235 Grant
6'3" 242 Sabino
6'2" 238 Sweat

The "real" linebacker U baby!

Grant wont start this year, will bet money on it.Sweat Sabino, Klein, and Moeller will be on the field the most. When's the last time a freshman LB started here? It takes more than the "look" test. People were raving about Sabino when he 1st showed up and hasn't started a game yet going into his 3rd year.Gambrell is an intruiging looking guy, long arms, lean frame. Going to be a beast I think.

Katzenmoyer would be the last true freshman LB to start. Grant is also much bigger than Sabino as a frosh.
Another thing I noticed, highly rated linebackers in h.s. Usually never pan out here. Its always the unheralded guys Hawk, Carpenter, Laurinaitis, Homan.

I'm all for starting a new trend.
Let's be fair, D'Andrea was a stud before he got the injury bug.
Did I miss something? Laurinaitis may have been a 3* coming out of high school, don't know for sure, but I think it is safe to say he definitely was "heralded" coming to OSU. Maybe it was just because his dad was a pro wrestler? I dunno.

That guy we had off the wheaties box did ok :)
D'Andrea was a stud. And I'm all for a new trend as well. I hope he has the instincts and smarts to match his physical abilities, something Sabino lacked
