Ohio State has added significant frontcourt reinforcement to handle the physicality of Big Ten bigs. He just needs to get healthy first.
Former Baylor center Josh Ojianwuna committed to the Buckeyes on Wednesday, and his production in 23 games as a starter for the Bears last year demonstrated that he can be a massive contributor for a Buckeye squad that struggled to handle the size of its conference's forwards in 2024-25.
Rebounding and interior defense were issues for Ohio State and Ojianwuna brings both with his 6-foot-10, 230-pound frame. He averaged 7.4 points, 6.4 rebounds and 0.8 blocks per game for Baylor as a junior, but a season-ending knee injury that required surgery cut his campaign short in February.
Those 7.4 points came with ruthless efficiency, with Ojianwuna shooting 77.4% from the field. The Buckeyes' top two centers in 2024-25, Sean Stewart and Aaron Bradshaw, shot 49% and 54.2%, respectively.
Eleven Warriors' Andy Anders and Chase Brown break down Ojianwuna's commitment on a new episode of Press Coverage, which you can watch at the top of the page.
