For Those Holding Out Hope

Tyler Moeller will miss the remainder of the regular season according to The Dispatch.

As expected, safety Tyler Moeller will have to undergo surgery to repair a torn pectoral muscle and will miss the rest of this season, two team sources said today.

Huge loss for the defense, but great teams find a way to overcome adversity.

Moeller will now try to get a sixth year from the NCAA -- something he was planning on doing anyway because of the assault that preceded the 2009 season.

Ahhhhhhhhhh : ((((

On another note, I'm slow. When you said "Huge loss for the defense, but special teams find a way to overcome adversity." I had to think for two seconds why you would mention the special teams unit in this post.

Ha - I can definitely see how it could read that way. I tweaked it a bit to avoid future confusion.

Damn man. Moeller is a fireplug for the defense. Hopefully he gets the medical red shirt.

"At critical moments throughout the season, we learned about the character of this football team.  This was a team of true character, of true resilience." -- President Barack Obama

Bryant plays like Moeller so we should be ok there.  Tough break, he gives up his body out there the odds are stacked against him finishing a whole season.  Thats how you should play the game.
