One time I was invited to come to a social gathering. I was paid a handsome amount of money and I brought a shotgun and a bottle of Tanqeray and showed those people the best fuckin time they've ever seen.
EJ, couldn't agree more. I don't think too much of what a player says while the season is going on still. Let him sit around for a few weeks after the season with all the family and scouts chirping in his ear about the millions of dollars he could be making now.
Ya but Conley got alot of attention when we made a run to the finals. If we go deep in the tourney alot of guys draft stock will soar. I don't think that will happen.
While I can understand the apprehension and quite honestly, we're always of the school that we assume the good ones are gone, but if they're back it's a bonus, typically a guy is non-committal when discussing draft plans instead of saying he's back.

E: A Day in the Life
Different strokes and all that. I'm no Phish fan, but if you step back and listen to your own music, ignoring all your biases towards it, you can at least see how someone else thinks it's shitty, even if you think it's the second coming.
Trust me, I listen to music that I really think anyone could like (not overly loud - usually - and the singer is actually, ya know singing, rather than screaming), and then when I pop it in the CD player in the car with friends they're like "LOL U LISTEN TO 80'S MUSIC? LOL"
Look, arguments about whose music roolz and whose is teh suxxorz are way stupid, but I've gotta step in anyhow and say: Phish is a really, really, REALLY shitty band. Listen to Nothing's Shocking - I mean like from start to finish - and then try to tell me that fucking PHISH kicks ass. Ugh.
Now that THAT'S out of the way: I did throw that caveat out there, pogue, but I just can't abide ANY Phish love - and I've got plenty of people who used to love Phish (while wearing their caps backwards - know what I mean?) a while back that'll back me up on this. It's like The Dead for stoner d-bag frat-boy types - a bullshit "scene" rather than anything anybody with any sense would call good music. Blech.
Ah.. I can remember when I worshiped Jane's Addiction. I was 19.
I'm not exactly a Phish fan these days, but for once have to agree with poguemahone: different strokes.
But, El Caballo de Sangre, if you're keen on reliving some of your youth, Jane's, Beastie Boys and Depeche Mode are the first night headliners for Lolla 2009, so you have that to look forward to...
TLB - I was just about to say that. I got quite a laugh when he called a charge earlier -- he was so emphatic in his call that he ran into a Purdue player.

That is the way to start the weekend!
Seriously.

Thats nice and all but what about PJ HILL any word on him?
PJ is a lottery pick. He's gone.
Yeah I hurt myself. I hurt my nose.
He is the yay-boo bear.
Yay: you picked it up for the back stretch of the season and started to show some skills
Boo: Your leaving................
Mike Conley was saying the same thing this time of year, but he would have stayed if he hadn't been a top 10 pick.

I'm not believing this for one moment. I'm taking this report with a grain of salt and so should everyone else.
Ya but Conley got alot of attention when we made a run to the finals. If we go deep in the tourney alot of guys draft stock will soar. I don't think that will happen.
If ET stays next season, he will be an All-American. If he leaves, he will be a 1st round pick. HMMMMMM.......
ET doesnt have Conley Sr. trying to be Drewscott Rosenborashaus.

We're not alone. Lesmerises thinks the same:

Phish is AMAZING!!!
Was this the Hampton show?
Yea, it was last night's show. They are offering free MP3 downloads, which I took advantage of this morning.

You guys are in VA? Where do you watch the games at? I am in your area, but usually watch them at home.

Hope this doesn't start a shitstorm.

Also, I believe Evan completely when he says he's coming back.
Well the world don't move to the beat of just one drum - what might be right for you may not be right for so-ome

Wonderful news on a rainy Chicago Sunday for this Buckeye fan.
El Caballo-
Always respect your opinions, but have you ever been to a Phish concert?
Good article today on BJ in the Dispatch...after reading this, I think it is a long shot if he returns.

Been a rainy kind of weekend up here, hasn't it?
here's to hoping he makes his decision quickly and doesnt be the third buckeye to screw us over in as many years with APR.
im more concerned about titus
Nice to see Ed Hightower screwing someone else today. Just wish Valentine was with him.

Yes, and it's still coming down, and into our basement!
You agree with me more often than you're willing to admit, I think. Come to the dark side. There's free beer and an excellent 401k plan.
