Donald Washington Calls It A Season. Allegedly.
Better Times for D-Wash (AP Photo/Jay LaPrete)Buckeye Commentary brings bad news via various message boards: defensive backs Donald Washington and Eugene Clifford have allegedly been suspended for the LSU game for the ever-descriptive “violation of team rules”.
Since our most reliable insider source is a hobo that lives behind a dumpster on Chittenden, all we can do is pass along with what the tubes are buzzing about.
As Keith pointed out, Chimdi Chekwa, last seen getting toasted by Illini receivers and jawing it up with H2O-4, will most likely move into Washington’s spot — with either Andre Amos or Jamario O’Neal getting nickel looks. Not exactly the news you want to hear considering the Tigers’ edge speed.
It certainly sucks if true, but you don’t go to Ohio State if you can’t play a little ball. Tell me you didn’t experience a similar “oh shit” moment when Bobby Carpenter broke his leg against the Wolverines a few years ago and a green Laurinaitis entered the game.
But does this tie the Vest’s hands a bit when it comes to how creative he wants to get with moving Jenkins around?
UPDATE: The Dispatch has confirmed the suspension with little additional information besides stating that it is not a legal issue. Oh, and also pointing out that Clifford was busted in high school for possession of the tree.

Seriously? Can’t stay out of trouble for one more week? Too bad we can’t get the Urban Meyer rule and suspened them for next seasons opener…

At least nobody’s asking to be excused to attend a funeral. We don’t need that shit going down again.

I agree, a lot of other schools would find a way to suspend them after the season is over.

I wonder when this suspension came down? It makes me a bit nervous this happened a day before the team breaks for a week, the length of Christmas break has always made me leery. At least they didn’t lose these players on the first play of the game. Also, this will keep Jenkins at corner the entire game, giving us a sample of his skills. O’Neal seeing more playing time scares me.

At least Chimdi Chekwa and Jamario O’Neal are two of our faster DB’s (per the previous articles 40 times). Maybe that will help us against that amazing “SEC speed!”
Anyone got any news on Lawrence Wilson? How great would that be to have both Defensive Ends who have 4.6 speed? (again refer to the previous article)

“I agree, a lot of other schools would find a way to suspend them after the season is over.”
Thankfully, we are not a “lot of other schools.”

WIL - I would rather RedShirt Lawrence - it would be nice to have him next season. It would be tough to ask him to not play in the NC game if he is physically able though.
HAROLD - December 20th, 2007 at 10:43 am - #
Harold - He’s only a Junior this year so we’ll have him next season anyway, and if he’s as good as his potential has shown then we won’t have him after next year anyway. I’m kind of against redshirting any players that late in their career because they aren’t going to mature anymore anyway and you’ll probably lose them early to the NFL (and if they’re not then losing them isn’t that big of a deal)
Wil - December 20th, 2007 at 11:10 am - #
WIL - I am an idiot - I thought he was a Senior. I stand corrected - put his big and fast ass on the field!
HAROLD - December 20th, 2007 at 11:35 am - #
WIL & HAROLD - He won’t matter anyway, you can’t seriously think you can contend do you? You are good team, I admit that…but we are not MSU or NW. See you in January.
TigerFan07 - December 20th, 2007 at 11:39 am - #
WIL - Herman Johnson and Ciron Black (both All SEC selections by the way) will have no trouble with your slow overrated D-Line. And if you think a guy who hasn’t played since week 1 is going to be a factor, then you Suckeye fans are an even dumber group of homers than the SEC already thinks you are.

Come back when you lose your virginity.
HAL3 - December 20th, 2007 at 11:55 am - #
TIGERFAN07 - We’re not Kentucky or Arkansas either…..our lone loss is to a team in a BCS game (and the officials from that game are under investigaion)……what about the teams you guys lost too?
But keep that attitude up, its worked out well in the past for teams going into the National Championship game.
P.S. Most of the Michigan fans I know couldn’t be happier they didn’t get Les Miles…..they think he’s an idiot.

Our defensive line is slow?
Oh wait, I forgot, everyone on our team runs a 4.9.
What was I thinking. Why are we even playing this game, we stand no chance. We should just give LSU the national title now and save our players from getting hurt by your big, bad, fast defense……wait…..whats this….it looks like our defense is faster than yours at EVERY position. It also looks like our DB’s match up much better against your WR’s than your DB’s do against our WR’s.
Oh, and that akward time with your uncle at the family reunion doesn’t count as losing your virginity.
Wil - December 20th, 2007 at 12:25 pm - #
WIL - The truth must hurt because you certainly seem a bit defensive. Sadly for you the Suckeyes D isn’t as “defensive”. You play patty-cake teams in over-hyped slow players. Leave it to a Suckeye to claim you are faster at every position - are you privy to sOUS and LSU 40 times - I think not. Who has your Defense really stopped? And by the way, at least we never lost in regulation…Illinois could not stay within 2 scores with our offense.
HAL3 - Your interest in my sex life is concerning.
TigerFan07 - December 20th, 2007 at 1:08 pm - #
TigerFan07 - You and your uncle’s intimacy concerns me. If by some freak reason OSU and LSU are tied at the end of regulation, do they just award you the title or do we get to play O.T.?
HAL3 - December 20th, 2007 at 1:19 pm - #
“And by the way, at least we never lost in regulation”
THAT is hilarious. A loss is still a loss jack@$$.
And retard, everyone is privy to their 40 times on Rivals.com as shown in the previous article on THIS site.
And the truth does hurt, but not for me because I actually no what I’m talking about. You don’t see me checking out LSU blogs making unproven accusations. Looks like somebody is a little more worried than they are letting on.

TigerFan07 -
You are the one being defensive, purple nurple. You have to come to this site to post your crack baby talk to see if you can provoke someone and when it does not happen…you get all girly!
Buck Up, Dim Wit!
Ohio always has the best athletes. And, they are as fast or faster than any LSU player.

Do you actually believe this tripe? Certainly, you never graduated from any valid university academic program. Les Miles is an idiot, even by Michigan standards. So, parroting back his moronic ramblings is sad and pathetic.
Further, you posted:
“Illinois could not stay within 2 scores with our offense.”
Are you the stupidest stupid bunghole this side of the mason dixon?
Illinois could easily stay ahead of LSU by 3 TD’s. Look at what the suckwad Ar-Kansas squad did to you ladies with their Wild Hog Formation. Juice Williams can out throw that craptastic Casey Dick as well as McFadden. Plus, Juice can out run and pitch better that McFadden or Felix.
Juice is superior to Matt Flynn as well. And, Mendenhall can blast his way through LSU’s line just like McFadden. All Illinois, or, for that matter; OSU needs to do is to run the ball approximately 28-29 plays and the LSU D-Line will cave like the purple barney’s they are.
Oh yeah, say hi to your uncle gatorpilot and your other uncle banjo picker. They are looking forward to giving you some more purple nurples, a nebraska neck scarf and a New Orleans Mudbath.

THIS HAS BEEN A TEST OF THE EMERGENCY BUCKEYE SYSTEM - IT WAS ONLY A TEST.
TigerFan07 was merely a brain-a-tomically accurate FAKE SEC/LSU fan. If this had been an actual trolling, I too would have joined in. I was putting 11W’s best and brightest through a National Championship blogging mini-camp.
WIL, HAL3, & JIM THORPE - Nice practice, you are listed on the 11W two-deep.
By the way, the best line in 11W history…

Thanks for the laughs today Wil, HAL3 and Jim Thorpe, classic stuff.
Wil-The uncle remark has had me laughing all afternoon. It does rank right up there with Harold’s “gloryhole” caption last week.
Can you tell Harold is in his last two days of a job?

I try.

I heard the call…
I felt a disturbance in the force and came running Oorang Indian war party style, to smack back some SEC crack trash. Me and my buddy Chingachgook had our war clubs and longknives at the ready.
Fortunately, for real LSU fans… it was a mock battle.
Anywho, never fear LSU fans; for they are basically Frenchies. And we all know how girly Frenchies are. Frenchies have no nature for battle. Their Gallic laziness combines with their Latinate horniness with the result that they would rather eat and make love with their faces than fight.
