The Ohio State University raised $601 million in donations for the 2018 fiscal year that ended June 30th, Emily Bench of Columbus Business First reported Tuesday morning.

The record-breaking donations ranged from education and research to athletics.

“The unmatched philanthropic spirit of Buckeye Nation continues to astound and inspire,” president Michael Drakesaid in a news release. “Our university is deeply fortunate to have so many alumni and friends committed to advancing our land-grant mission and changing lives across Ohio and beyond.”

Nearly 270,000 people, the majority of which attended Ohio State, donated. It was a 14% raise from last year.
