Ohio State emphatically answered any questions about its passing game agains Minnesota.

The Buckeyes ran a more conservative race against Washington last week but opened their passing attack to full throttle against the Golden Gophers, with quarterback Julian Sayin finishing 23-of-27 for 326 yards and three touchdowns.

Jeremiah Smith and Carnell Tate looked like the two best individual receivers in the country, as Tate racked up nine receptions for 183 yards and a touchdown to go with a pair of touchdowns for Smith.

On the flip side, it was a complete team performance from Ohio State's defense. No one player stood out above the rest, but that's a grand compliment. Minnesota was smothered to just 162 total yards and three points. The Buckeyes have allowed just 25 points in five games, the best mark in the country and 17 fewer points than Jim Knowles’ Penn State defense allowed to UCLA on Saturday.

Bo Jackson also cemented himself as Ohio State's top running back as he logged his first career start, collecting 63 yards and a touchdown on 13 carries. He proved he's an effective short-yardage back, too, with some excellent power runs.

Dan Hope and Andy Anders break it all down on After Carmen, Eleven Warriors’ official postgame show.
