Ohio State didn't have a second-straight opportunity to make a statement but it did what it was supposed to do against an FCS team - dismantle it to the tune of 70-0.
The Buckeyes throttled Grambling State behind big days from Julian Sayin (306 passing yards, four touchdowns) and Jeremiah Smith (119 receiving yards, two touchdowns) as nine different players found the end zone while the defense posted a shutout.
No other programs in the top-10 played marquee opponents while LSU, Georgia and Clemson all looked sus against inferior competition.
Also of note, Michigan lost on the road at Oklahoma as Bryce Underwood completed nine passes and Arizona State's defensive coordinator committed coaching malpractice allowing Mississippi State to pull off a stunner.
The Wolverines fell nine spots to No. 22 in the Coaches Poll and dropped eight slots in the AP to No. 23. The Sun Devils plummeted 14 spots in the Coaches Poll and fell out the AP Top 25 entirely.
South Florida, following an 18-16 upset win over then-No. 13 Florida in the Swamp went from unranked in both polls to No. 23 in the Coaches and No. 18 in the AP.
