Ohio State bulldozes Grambling State 70-0 and improves to 2-0 on the season.
Two starts into his time as Ohio State's quarterback, Julian Sayin is already etching his name in the record books.
Sayin came out with more precision than a world champion dart-thrower against Grambling State, connecting on his first 16 passes to set a new school record for consecutive completions to open a game.
Four touchdown passes were included in Sayin's 16 consecutive connected tosses, with 290 passing yards in total. Will Howard had the previous record of 13 consecutive completions against Notre Dame in the 2025 College Football Playoff national championship game.
An interception, Sayin's first of the season, thrown near the goal line in the second quarter, stopped his consecutive completions streak. He came up one short of tying Ohio State's consecutive completions record in total, as Kyle McCord connected on 18 straight across two games in 2023.
Sayin's 16 completions built a 28-0 first-half lead for Ohio State and Grambling State. Stay tuned to Eleven Warriors for more coverage from the contest.
