Julian Sayin and Jeremiah Smith made some Ohio State history in the Buckeyes' matchup with Grambling State on Saturday.

On the first play of Ohio State's second drive, Sayin found an open Smith on an out-and-up route behind the whole of the Tigers' defense. Smith hauled in the pass with ease and glided 55 yards after the catch up the left sideline for an 87-yard touchdown strike.

It's the second-longest pass in Ohio State history, trailing only Kenny Guiton's 90-yard toss to Devin Smith against Cal in 2013. It's the longest catch of Smith's career to date.

The score is tied for the third-longest play in Ohio State history, also trailing Morris Bradshaw's 88-yard run against Wisconsin in 1971.

The Buckeyes came out firing on offense against their FCS foe, scoring three touchdowns in three possessions with a Will Kacmarek 47-yard touchdown catch and an incredible 13-yard grab from Carnell Tate bookending Smith's historic jaunt.
