Ohio State has released episode two of its new team documentary, “Defend the Shoe.”
The documentary — sponsored by Anduril, an American defense technology company whose logo can be seen in several areas around the Shoe, including next to the Ohio Stadium scoreboard — continued this week with some clips from Ohio State’s win over top-ranked Texas. Much of the footage had been distributed prior to the episode’s release, except for a moment with Ohio State president Ted Carter and the team after the game.
“The eyes of the nation were on you today,” Carter said. “The Buckeyes are back!”

Also in the episode, Austin Siereveld and Caleb Downs described what it means to them to be named Ohio State captains, and Julian Sayin shared how he can be a leader for the Buckeyes, even without the title Siereveld and Downs share with Brandon Inniss and Block O recipient Sonny Styles.
Near the end of the episode, Ryan Day emphasized the importance of Ohio State’s core values: Honesty, Respect and Resilience.
“What you do, how you act, how you care for your brother is critically important, and it has an impact on the rest of the team,” Day said.
Looking ahead to Grambling, Siereveld said Ohio State’s mission is to “keep pushing.”
“Each week is new for us. Each week is a new challenge for us,” he said.
