ESPN’s College GameDay attended seven Ohio State games last season, including marquee matchups against Oregon, Penn State and Indiana. The show also traveled for games against Tennessee in the CFP first round, Oregon at the Rose Bowl, Texas at the Cotton Bowl and Notre Dame in the CFP final.

Now headed to campus for Ohio State’s season opener against Texas, College GameDay makes its fifth straight appearance — and eighth overall in the past calendar year — with a special purpose.

Saturday’s show marks a send-off for Lee Corso, who will make his final appearance after 38 seasons on College GameDay. Corso has been part of the show since it debuted in 1987 and has made 430 headgear picks since Oct. 5, 1996, when he first donned a Brutus Buckeye mascot head to pick Ohio State over Penn State in a top-five matchup.

Ohio State and Texas kick off at 12 p.m. Saturday on FOX. College GameDay starts its broadcast at 9 a.m. on ESPN. Here’s everything you need to know if you’re attending or watching Corso’s farewell:

Venue: St. John Arena

From 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. College GameDay will broadcast live from St. John Arena, occupying its usual spot on the South Lawn at 410 Woody Hayes Drive. The final hour of GameDay — and Corso's headgear pick — will take place inside Ohio Stadium.

Guest Picker Still TBD

College GameDay has yet to announce its guest picker for Saturday. However, Ohio State head coach Ryan Day will join the GameDay desk during the show, while Texas coach Steve Sarkisian will be interviewed on the field ahead of the game. National champion quarterback Will Howard will also join the show for pregame insights.

  • This will be the fourth time College GameDay has attended an Ohio State vs. Texas game. GameDay also attended the Buckeyes and Longhorns' home-and-home series in 2005 and 2006, as well as last season's Cotton Bowl. Ohio State was 2-1 in those contests.
  • The Buckeyes are 19-6 all-time when hosting College GameDay.

Other Festivities Around Campus

  • Big Noon Kickoff will also broadcast live from Ohio State's campus. The FOX kickoff show will be located between the RPAC and the southeast corner of Ohio Stadium.
  • Skull Session starts at 9:30 a.m. with doors opening to St. John Arena at 9 a.m. The Ohio State football team will arrive at Skull Session in the 10 o'clock hour.
