While Thursday’s first practice of preseason camp ended with bad news as Eddrick Houston was helped off the field with an injury, Friday’s second day of preseason camp started with good news as the Ohio State defensive tackle was back at practice – not practicing, but walking around on the field with what appeared to be only a minor injury, though he was wearing a knee brace.

Ohio State‘s quarterback competition between Julian Sayin and Lincoln Kienholz continued on Friday, but neither quarterback moved the needle in a major way on the second day of camp. That’s not to say that either performed badly, but there weren’t many deep throws during Friday’s practice.

One player who stood out was freshman running back Anthony “Turbo” Rogers, who has looked like a player capable of making an early impact in his first two practices as a Buckeye. As such, Ohio State’s running back room is looking deep entering the 2025 season, with James Peoples, CJ Donaldson, Bo Jackson, Rogers and Samuel Dixon all performing well in practice.

Ohio State’s wide receivers also met with the media on Friday, and the Buckeyes look like they’ll be as elite as ever at that position with Brandon Inniss joining Jeremiah Smith and Carnell Tate in the starting lineup.
