Eddrick Houston returned to the practice field in a limited capacity on Friday.
After suffering a leg injury during Ohio State's first preseason practice, Houston jogged onto the Woody Hayes Athletic Center outdoor fields on Friday while wearing a brace on his right knee. While Houston was held out of team drills, he stretched with his teammates before practice started.
A great thing for Buckeye fans to see to start day two of fall camp.

Houston's appearance is an encouraging sign for Ohio State, which entered training camp with depth concerns at the defensive tackle position. His presence confirms a Thursday report from ESPN's Pete Thamel, who said that Houston's injury is not considered serious and does not appear to be a long-term injury.

As Houston recovers, potential candidates to take starting reps in the meantime include Will Smith Jr., Jason Moore and Tywone Malone Jr. None of those defensive tackles saw regular playing time last year, however, leaving Ohio State with only unproven options at the position behind Houston and McDonald.
