EA Sports released a trailer for College Football 26 on Thursday, and it's complete with four Ohio State highlights and one rivalry-themed lowlight.
Ohio State's first appearance in the trailer shows head coach Ryan Day leading the Buckeyes out of the tunnel at Ohio Stadium. The next appearance, however, shows defensive end Kenyatta Jackson Jr. failing to sack Michigan quarterback Bryce Underwood in the Big House. Caleb Downs redeems his teammate some clips later, leaping in the air to deflect an Underwood pass intended for Wolverine tight end Zack Marshall in the end zone.
As the trailer continues, wide receiver Jeremiah Smith makes a contested catch over Penn State safety King Mack. The teaser concludes with Day hoisting the College Football Playoff national championship trophy, surrounded by Smith, defensive tackle Eddrick Houston, quarterback Julian Sayin, linebacker Arvell Reese and center Carson Hinzman.
On Tuesday, EA Sports revealed Smith as one of two cover athletes for College Football 26's standard edition, along with Alabama wide receiver Ryan Williams. Smith and Williams are also on the cover for the deluxe edition of the game, which also includes Day, Downs and more of the sport's biggest names.
"Being on the cover of EA Sports College Football 26 is a tremendous privilege, and I'm proud to represent Ohio State alongside Coach Day while carrying the Buckeye legacy forward, celebrating the passion of our fans and the tradition of this incredible program," Smith said in an EA Sports press release earlier this week.
Fans can pre-order the EA Sports MVP Bundle now, which includes the deluxe editions of College Football 26 and Madden NFL 26 as well as three-day early access to both games.
