Even though they chose to stay at Ohio State for their senior seasons, Jack Sawyer and JT Tuimoloau worked out for NFL scouts at Wednesday’s pro day.

Sawyer and Tuimoloau were among a small group of active Ohio State players who worked out alongside the NFL draft prospects at this year’s pro day. Quarterbacks Will Howard and Devin Brown threw to the participating wide receivers and tight ends – which also included Gee Scott Jr. even though he remains with the Buckeyes for 2024 – while walk-on quarterback Mason Maggs served as the thrower for linebacker and defensive back drills.

Tuimoloau and Sawyer went through a series of position drills alongside Ohio State’s lone defensive lineman in the 2024 draft class, Mike Hall, and you can watch their drill work in the following video.

Josh Proctor was one of five former Ohio State defensive backs who worked out at Wednesday’s pro day, though he was the only one who played for the Buckeyes in 2023. Amir Riep (Lincoln), Marcus Hooker (Youngstown State), Darryl Sinclair (Ohio Dominican) and Jahsen Wint (Marshall) all finished their college careers elsewhere, but they were back at the Woody Hayes Athletic Center on Wednesday to put their skills on display for NFL scouts as all of them went through defensive back drills.

All four of Ohio State’s defensive starters from last season who are now pursuing NFL careers went through full workouts on Wednesday as linebackers Tommy Eichenberg and Steele Chambers went through position drills coached by James Laurinaitis alongside former OSU walk-on Ryan Batsch, who finished his college career at Murray State.
