With Ohio State's offense struggling Saturday, Josh Proctor took matters into his own hands.

Proctor lined up in coverage over Maryland's slot receiver on a 3rd-and-5 in the second quarter, with Ohio State trailing 10-0.

Terrapins quarterback Taulia Tagovailoa decided to target Proctor's man near the sticks, but Proctor jumped the route and returned it 24 yards for a touchdown.

It's Proctor's first interception since the Big Ten Championship Game against Northwestern on Dec. 19, 2020. Proctor had 16 tackles with one tackle for loss and three pass breakups in 2023 through three games for Ohio State, missing the Youngstown State game in Week 2 with injury.

It's Ohio State's third defensive touchdown of the season, joining a Tyleik Williams fumble recovery in the end zone and a Jermaine Mathews pick-six against Western Kentucky in Week 3.
