The sights and sounds of gameday in the Shoe have been submitted to EA Sports.

On Wednesday, Extra Points released a list of audio/visual assets submitted by the Buckeyes for the upcoming return of the EA Sports College Football franchise.

Included are such traditions as "Across the Field (Fight the Team)" which will be played when Ohio State runs onto the field, after big defensive stops and after takeaways; "Hang on Sloopy," to be played at the start of the fourth quarter; "Buckeye Battle Cry," "Script Ohio" and "Carmen Ohio."

In a fun addition, "We Don't Give a Damn for the Whole State of Michigan" was added specifically for when a win is secured against the Wolverines.

Other stadium chants, such as the "O-H-I-O" cheer that circles around Ohio Stadium and "Seven Nation Army" during kickoffs were also submitted to EA.

EA Sports is set to bring back its college football video game, which has been on hiatus since NCAA Football 14 was released on July 9, 2013, in the summer of 2024.

"We're incredibly excited to bring back an authentic college football experience for fans and athletes that have shown such passion for the franchise, and we're looking forward to delivering it in Summer 2024," an Electronic Arts spokesperson said in August.

The game went on pause as a result of a lawsuit by former UCLA basketball player Ed O'Bannon against the NCAA, which challenged the use of current and former player images and likenesses without compensation. Once athletes were allowed to begin profiting from their name, image and likeness in 2021, EA began preparations for the return of NCAA Football. Per a report by ESPN in May 2023, players will have the option to include their likeness in the game in exchange for compensation, the amount to be determined later.

Now, Ohio State fans can anticipate the sights and sounds of a gameday in the Shoe to be a part of the return of the video game title.
