“We're Working to Get on That Wall”: Kevin Wilson and Ohio State Tight Ends Discuss National Championship Expectations, Impressions from Saturday’s Scrimmage

Sitting at a table inside the Woody Hayes Athletic Center, Kevin Wilson glanced up momentarily.

Gesturing toward the various championship banners hanging from the Buckeyes' indoor practice facility, Wilson didn't shy away from the lofty expectations surrounding the team.

"We're trying to get up on the wall," Ohio State’s tight ends coach and offensive coordinator said.

A national championship would mark the first for Wilson in his coaching career, though he's certainly had opportunities to win a ring in the past.

“Five times I’ve been in that game," Wilson said. "I’m still looking for that ring. Five times. So I’ve been there knocking on that door. I think we have a group of kids that’s good enough to knock that damn thing down.”

In addition to Wilson, all six scholarship tight ends – Cade Stover, Joe Royer, Gee Scott Jr., Mitch Rossi, Sam Hart and Bennett Christian – fielded questions from reporters Monday, and you can hear what all of them had to say in the videos below.
