Though there’s plenty of uncertainty regarding the status of head coach Urban Meyer, Ohio State officially opened fall camp on Monday afternoon with check-in day at the Hyatt Place in Grandview Yard.
The team actually practiced on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Woody Hayes Athletic, but Monday’s event is one of the program’s great traditions that shows football is just around the corner. Tuesday’s practice, meanwhile, will be open to the media for the first time — though coaches and players remain unavailable for interviews until further notice.
The Buckeyes open the regular season against Oregon State on Sept. 1. Kick off is scheduled for noon on ABC.
