The 2012 team will forever hold a special place in Ohio State lore. But that wasn't known in November 2011 when Urban Meyer descending from an ESPN studio into Columbus.

Players recruited by Luke Fickell and Jim Tressel didn't know what to expect, and Meyer gave every player free rein to transfer.

Anybody reading a Buckeye football blog in late May knows what happened next. The 2012 team went undefeated, sans without a bowl game. That too, however, wasn't a surefire thing. The team went through trials and tribulations of its own, and needed a toast from Meyer to right the ship and ultimately conquered Brady Hoke in Columbus.

Former fullback/linebacker Zach Boren recently returned to the Woody Hayes Athletic Center to instruct the 2018 team on what it would take to ultimately achieve their goals. Ryan Shazier and other players from the team provided their testimony via video.

The result is eight minutes of glory that is worth watching anytime of the year, but especially in the offseason.
