Once a Buckeye, always a Buckeye. Across the Shield follows those who once wore Scarlet and Gray on their journeys through the NFL.

Butt Pick

Marshon Lattimore now has two interceptions in two games against Matt Ryan and the Atlanta Falcons, and this one was almost certainly the most hilarious he'll ever have in his career.

Following a dropped pass, the ball landed right on the butt of Lattimore where it just like, stuck. Lattimore literally picked it off with his butt.

The funniest part of all of this is Lattimore did next to nothing to create this interception. He got beat in coverage, probably wasn't going to make the tackle and had no idea where the ball was after it was tipped, but he somehow ended up with the pick.

Luck is when preparation meets opportunity.

Ted Ginn Jr: Still Fast

Did you know that Ted Ginn Jr. is still fast? The Falcons, evidently, did not.

Moments after Lattimore's butt pick, Drew Brees found a streaking Ginn deep downfield and hit him for a 54-yard touchdown.

I don't want to tell defensive coordinators how to do their job, but if there's any player you don't want to have in a footrace with your cornerback, it's probably Ginn.

Naturally, Ginn celebrated by throwing on a Santa hat, making him officially the world's fastest Santa.

Zeke Back!

The good news for Dallas is, the Cowboys have Ezekiel Elliott back for the playoffs. The bad news is, they aren't going to the playoffs.

Elliott came back from his six game suspension on Sunday, and while he didn't have a bad game, racking up 118 yards in total offense, the Cowboys offense as a whole was definitely not great.

Dallas didn't score a single touchdown on Sunday, falling 21-12 to the Seattle Seahawks, knocking them out of playoff contention.

I didn't wanna have to say it, but that's what happens when you take touches away from Rod Smith.

Guapo: Super Bowl MVP?

For a large percentage of this NFL season, the San Francisco 49ers were not a good football team. In fact, some would say they were pretty bad at football, relative to the other teams.

Then, the 'Niners traded for Jimmy Garoppolo and it switched. After losing its first nine games, San Francisco has now won five of its last six games, and is a perfect 4-0 with its new quarterback at the helm.

The future seems bright in San Francisco. Like, really bright, at least according to former Buckeye running back Carlos Hyde.

Bold, I'm not about to bet against a dude that could carry seven of me for no less than 57 yards. If Guapo says they're going to the Super Bowl, they're going to the Super Bowl. Call your bookie.

Merry Christmas to you all. Thank you for choosing to spend part of it reading my words.
