Pat Elflein could have quite the wide range of trophies whenever his college football career comes to a close.

Ohio State's redshirt senior captain is one of three finalists for the 2016 Rimington Trophy, given annually to college football's most outstanding center. The Rimington Trophy Committee made the announcement on Monday.

The other finalists for the trophy are LSU's Ethan Pocic and West Virginia's Tyler Orlosky.

Elflein was named the Big Ten's Rimington-Pace Offensive Lineman of the Year last week in addition to first team all-conference for the third straight season. He has started 40 straight games on Ohio State's offensive line and represents the fulcrum of any and all the Buckeyes do on offense, helping pave the way for the conference's best rushing attack. Ohio State's 258.3 yards per game on the ground is ninth-best in the entire country.

Elflein is also a finalist for the Outland Trophy, awarded to the country's most outstanding interior lineman and is also under consideration for the Lombardi Award.

The Rimington Trophy's winner is determined the consensus All-American at center in college football. The Rimington committee uses three existing All-American teams to pick its winner: the Walter Camp Foundation, Sporting News and Football Writers Association of America.

The winner of the Rimington Trophy is set to be announced as part of the ESPNU Red Carpet Show on Dec. 8, just before the Home Depot College Football Awards Show gets under way.
