The Austrailian needs to add another shelf to his trophy case.

Ohio State senior Cameron Johnston is the 2016 recipient of the Eddleman-Fields Punter of the Year Award, given to the Big Ten's best punter. The conference announced the award Tuesday on Big Ten Network.

Johnston leads the Big Ten with a 46.2 yards per punt average on his 49 punts, fifth-best in the country according to footballdb.com. A total of 16 of those 49 kicks traveled more than 50 yards.

Johnston's longest boot on the season is 70 yards and he has downed 23 kicks inside the opponent's 20-yard line, third-best in the conference behind Minnesota's Ryan Santoso (25) and Purdue's Joe Schopper (24). Johnston did have one punt blocked this season at Penn State.

Johnston also serves as Ohio State's holder on field goals and extra points. Tyler Durbin is 17-of-19 on field goal attempts this season and 63-of-65 on points after touchdowns.

Johnston is one of three finalists for the Ray Guy Award, given annually to the nation's best punter. The other two finalists are Michael Dickson of Texas and Mitch Wishnowsky of Utah.
