Saturday's clash between No. 2 Ohio State and No. 3 Michigan is shaping up to be epic.

ESPN, broadcasting their final version of “The Game” before Fox takes over next season, will dedicate more than 40 hours of coverage to the affair, which is expected to determine a spot in the College Football Playoff.

The network's “A crew” of Chris Fowler and Kirk Herbstreit, along with Samantha Ponder and Tom Rinaldi working the sidelines, will cover the game, with more than 50 cameras positioned inside Ohio Stadium. In addition to typical game footage, other angles and footage will include:

  • Skycam and goal posts cameras
  • All eight end zone pylons will be equipped with four cameras each
  • Four super slow-motion cameras
  • Aerial footage from above Ohio Stadium

Prior to the game, ESPN will air a special five-hour edition of College GameDay, marking the 15th time the iconic program will broadcast live from Columbus and the sixth time the program has aired live from the site of The Game (1997, 2002, 2003, 2006 and 2007). GameDay will air outside of Ohio State's Recreation and Physical Activity Center (RPAC) on campus for the first four hours before moving inside the stadium.

SportsCenter on the Road

A special edition of SportsCenter on the Road will air Friday, Nov. 25 (10 a.m. to noon on ESPN) from Columbus along with SportsCenter having a presence on both campuses all week long.

Former players and celebrities will be interviewed for their takes on college sports' greatest rivalry, including: musician Taylor Hicks (Michigan), Desmond Howard, Cardale Jones, Darron Lee, comedian Richard Lewis (Ohio State), Nick Mangold, Jack Nicklaus, Denard Robinson, Jalen Rose, Fitz Toussaint, Adolphus Washington, Donte Whitner, Charles Woodson and others.

Replays of The Game

Fire up the DVRs. ESPNU and ESPN Classic will air more than 25 hours of past games between the two programs Thursday and Friday.
