Ezekiel Elliott Signs as Nike Athlete, Promoted with Video Celebrating His 85-Yards Through the Heart of the South

Nike made it official today, with the announcement that Ohio State running back – and soon to be NFL star – Ezekiel Elliott has signed with as a Nike Athlete.

Elliott joins Notre Dame's Will Fuller, Ole Miss' Laremy Tunsil, Oregon's DeForest Buckner, Cal's Jared Goff and Memphis' Paxton Lynch as members of its “2016 Rookie Class.” As with other members of the class, Nike welcomed Elliott to the fold with a stylized video commemorating his 85-yard touchdown run to ice the Sugar Bowl last year.

Terms for the deal were not disclosed.

Elliott etched his name all throughout Ohio State's record book, following a career that saw him rush for 3,699 yards and 41 touchdowns during his final two seasons alone.

He's projected as a top-10 pick in this week's NFL Draft.


In related news, Elliott also inked a deal with Old Spice, while teammate Joey Bosa signed on with MET-Rx to help launch a full packaging refresh and national advertising campaign.
