J.T. Barrett's meeting with the law isn't as soon as expected.

The redshirt sophomore Ohio State quarterback's scheduled arraignment in Franklin County Court stemming from his arrest and citation for OVI early Halloween morning has been changed to Tuesday at 9 a.m., court records show. Originally, it was set for Friday at the same time.

The news was first reported by Dave Briggs of the Toledo Blade.

Court records do not show a reason for the rescheduling of Barrett's hearing, just that it's been pushed back a few days. Due to the continuance, the records show an additional charge of $5 on Barrett's docket, bringing his fine total to $102 as it sits currently.

Whether or not this affects Barrett's eligibility moving forward is unknown. The quarterback is set to serve a one-game suspension Saturday when No. 3 Ohio State hosts Minnesota. Kickoff is set for 8 p.m.
