Ohio State starting nickel Armani Reeves won't likely play against Michigan State Saturday, head coach Urban Meyer said.

"He was out here today, but he didn’t practice," Meyer said Wednesday evening, but didn't elaborate why. He added sophomore safety Cam Burrows or freshman Damon Webb could replace him in East Lansing.

Reeves, who has 13 tackles and four pass breakups this season, did not play against Illinois last weekend.

On Tuesday, Meyer said the junior hadn't been cleared to play against the Spartans and said his status was "unknown." Meyer also said he wasn't "100 percent sure" what happened to Reeves in the first place.

Reeves is still listed at the team's starter, according to its weekly depth chart.
