The new polls are out and the Buckeyes, fresh off a 66-0 pasting of Kent State, fell one spot to No. 23 in the AP Poll, while holding steady at No. 18 in the Coaches Poll.

Quibbling about spots when you're in the lower third of the poll is silly, but Virginia Tech, losers at home to East Carolina Saturday, did the Buckeyes no favors in the eyes of some AP voters. That, or Clemson's impressive performance against might BYE was enough for voters to flip the schools.

The Big Ten has four teams ranked in each poll, with Michigan State, 11th in both, the highest ranked program from the league.
