Ohio State will soon have an answer from one of its most coveted wide receiver targets in the 2026 class.

Four-star California prospect Kayden-Dixon Wyatt will announce his commitment at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday and choose from a final five of OSU, Oregon, USC, Alabama and Texas. The recruitment is more or less a three-team race, with the Buckeyes, Ducks and Trojans all hosting Dixon-Wyatt for a spring visit in the past few months. Though in reality, it might be an Oregon vs. Ohio State battle going into Sunday.

Dixon-Wyatt visited Columbus on April 12 for the Buckeyes’ spring game and is the high school teammate of OSU wide receiver commit Chris Henry Jr. He’s rated the No. 107 prospect and No. 15 wide receiver in the 2026 class per 247Sports’ composite rankings.

If he chooses the Buckeyes, he’d be the fourth and possibly final wide receiver commitment for the current cycle. If he opts for the Ducks or another finalist, OSU would likely turn to Indiana wideout Jerquaden Guilford or Texas prospect Jalen Lott as a priority for the fourth wide receiver spot. Guilford had a strong performance at Sunday’s Under Armour Next Camp at Pickerington North High School.

In the meantime, Ohio State is making the most of the current recruiting period to get on the road and make various notable offers.

Over the past few days, the Buckeyes have offered seven players in total, six of whom are from the 2027 cycle. Of those six, four are ranked as top 25 players in the country. We’ll break down all seven of the new offers below.

Kennedy Brown

It was only a matter of time before Ohio State took a crack at getting the No. 1 overall offensive tackle in the 2027 class, right?

Ohio State entered the recruitment of five-star Texas prospect Kennedy Brown on Tuesday, offering the 6-foot-4, 280-pound standout.

Brown is the highest-rated player offered by the Buckeyes in the past few days, as he’s ranked as the No. 8 player and the top overall offensive tackle in 2027, per 247Sports’ composite rankings. He’s earned 32 Division I offers, including Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, Mizzou, Nebraska, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Ole Miss, Oregon, Penn State, TCU, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M, Texas Tech and USC.

Kemon Spell

Ohio State also offered a five-star running back in the 2027 class who is currently committed to a Big Ten rival. The Buckeyes offered Pennsylvania prospect Kemon Spell on Tuesday, a few weeks after the 5-foot-9, 185-pound prospect visited Columbus for the spring game.

Spell is the second-highest-rated player offered by the Buckeyes of late, as he’s ranked as the No. 10 player, two spots below Brown, and the top overall running back in 2027. He’s been committed to Penn State since August of 2024, but Carlos Locklyn will work to flip him from his Nittany Lions commitment. In all, 14 Division I schools have offered Spell, including Notre Dame, Tennessee, Florida State, Michigan, Michigan State, Pittsburgh, UCLA and Wisconsin.

The 5-foot-9, 185-pound prospect had a breakout sophomore season in which he ran for 1,681 yards on 157 carries with 24 rushing touchdowns. He also played some snaps on defense. In his freshman year, he ran for 517 yards on 37 carries with 12 touchdowns.

Jalen Brewster

Larry Johnson has entered the recruitment of the top defensive tackle in 2027. Ohio State offered Jalen Brewster, a 6-foot-3, 302-pound Texas standout, on Tuesday.

Brewster is a top-tier player in the 2027 class, as he’s considered the No. 11 overall prospect and the top defensive lineman in the cycle. He’s earned 22 Division I offers, including Alabama, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Oklahoma, Oregon, Penn State, SMU, TCU, Texas, Texas Tech and Texas A&M.

Brewster played both ways in his sophomore season and sometimes served as a short-yardage running back in addition to playing on the line.

Hayden Stepp

Tim Walton offered a top cornerback from one of the best high school programs in the country this week. Four-star Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas, Nevada) standout Hayden Stepp picked up an offer from the Buckeyes on Tuesday, his 27th Division I offer in total.

Like Brewster, Spell and Brown, Stepp is one of the top players in the 2027 cycle, as he’s rated the No. 22 overall player and No. 3 cornerback. Other offers he’s picked up include Alabama, Georgia, Louisville, Maryland, Miami, Michigan State, Nebraska, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Oregon, Penn State, Tennessee, Texas A&M and USC.

Brian Swanson

Tyler Bowen extended an offer to Texas offensive lineman Brian Swanson on Wednesday.

Swanson is rated the No. 161 player and No. 14 offensive tackle in the 2027 cycle. He’s picked up 21 Division I offers total, including Alabama, Florida, Michigan, Mizzou, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas and Texas A&M.

The 6-foot-5, 295-pound product also competes in track and field.

Roman Igwebuike

Also on Wednesday, linebackers coach James Laurinaitis offered Chicago product Roman Igwebuike, a 6-foot-3, 220-pound linebacker.

Igwebuike is considered the No. 202 prospect and No. 14 linebacker in the 2027 class. He’s earned 15 Division I offers in total, including Auburn, Illinois, Iowa State, Kansas State, Louisville, Michigan, Minnesota, Mizzou, Syracuse, Tennessee, USC and Wisconsin.

Kameron McGee

Of all the prospects offered this week, McGee is the lone prospect who’s still a high school freshman.

The 6-foot-3, 234-pound defensive end resides in Illinois. Composite rankings have not ye been released for the 2028 recruiting class, but Ohio State is McGee’s 13th offer, joining a list that includes Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan State, Minnesota, Mizzou, North Carolina, Purdue, USC, Vanderbilt and Wisconsin.
