Ohio State commit Jaelen Gill, a five-star running back from Westerville South, has agreed to give Eleven Warriors exclusive access into his senior season with the Wildcats.

He'll join us every Friday with a notebook entry sharing everything from his thoughts on his play to who he's recruiting on behalf of the Buckeyes.

Gill's latest entry comes just hours before Westerville South's game at Hilliard Darby. With the Wildcats hoping to rebound from a loss to Gahanna Lincoln and a big recruiting weekend on tap, you can tell he's focused.

Week 2 was a disappointment all around, as we lost 34-0 in our home opener.

We never found our rhythm and no one showed up. There were a lot of missed tackles and dropped passes. There was no blocking, so I lined up as a receiver hoping to get the ball in my hands another way. They keyed in on me, double- and triple-teaming me because other receivers were dropping passes. It made their job easier.

I had a 40-yard touchdown reception called back due to a holding penalty and one interception. We’re hoping for a better game this week. Hoping for more energy, discipline and focus.

So far school is off to a good start. I have some really good teachers and interesting classes. I can’t wait to be back at the 'Shoe Saturday for the big game! I’m looking forward to seeing how the offense does and how coach Kevin Wilson and Ryan Day work together to create success.

Jaiden Woodbey, Josh Proctor and Micah Parsons will be there for their official visits. It’s always fun hanging with them. I’m hoping to spend time getting to know Master Teague and Brian Snead. It’s always great to be back on campus and be a part of the electric atmosphere in Columbus.

Go Cats! Go Bucks!
