Carmen's Crew will defend its TBT title this summer.
The Basketball Tournament announced Wednesday that the Ohio State alumni team, which includes 2019 TBT MVP William Buford, Kaleb Wesson, Keyshawn Woods and Trevor Thompson, will compete in the Indianapolis Regional at Hinkle Fieldhouse from July 19-22.
Carmen's Crew returns to TBT as the $1 million champions from last summer's tournament. Headlined by the four former Buckeyes, Carmen's Crew also returns Scott Thomas (Bowling Green), Jamel Morris (Fairmont State), Erick Neal (UT-Arlington), DeSonta Bradford (East Tennessee State), Tevin Glass (Tennessee State) and one of the team's longest-tenured members, 44-year-old Jeff Gibbs (Otterbein), from the championship-winning squad.
The Ohio State alumni team also added Chris Crawford (Memphis) to its roster, which lost Jared Sullinger, Kyle Young, Andre Wesson and Claudio Penha Jr. from the 2024 squad.
Joining Carmen’s Crew in the Indianapolis Regional are favorites Assembly Ball, the Indiana alumni team featuring Yogi Ferrell and Race Thompson, and All Good Dawgs, the Butler alumni squad led by Shelvin Mack.
The winner of the Indianapolis Regional will advance to TBT’s quarterfinals on July 27. The tournament's semifinals will be played on July 31, and its $1 million championship game will be on Aug. 3.
