Chris Holtmann looks back fondly on last year's home upset over then-No. 1 Duke, and for good reason.
But the Ohio State men's basketball coach suspects that the Blue Devils' memories of the contest aren't quite as pleasant.
Much of Duke's roster has turned over since the 2021 game in Columbus, and so has its head coach. But with this year's rematch taking place at Cameron Indoor Stadium in Durham, North Carolina, Holtmann said Duke fans are sure to remember what happened when their team came to the Schott last season.
“I'm sure they're gonna be angry,” Holtmann said in an interview on Tuesday.
Holtmann discussed the challenges Duke presents, spoke about what he learned about the Buckeyes during the Maui Invitational and said third-year guard Eugene Brown (concussion) will be sidelined “until otherwise noted.”
