Ohio State has departed the Big Ten tournament sooner than expected.
The Buckeyes dropped their first game in the conference tournament on Thursday, falling to Penn State 71-68.
After allowing 47 second-half points, Chris Holtmann lamented the Buckeyes' defensive performance.
"We're just not where we need to be defensively," Holtmann said.
Ohio State will now wait to see where it is seeded for the NCAA tournament on Sunday.
